The Journal of the Air & Waste Management Association (JA&WMA) is one of the oldest continuously published, peer-reviewed, technical environmental journals in the world. First published in 1951 under the name Air Repair, JA&WMA is intended to serve those occupationally involved in air pollution control and waste management through the publication of timely and reliable information.)

EM

EM, A&WMA’s monthly magazine for environmental managers, explores a range of issues affecting the industry with timely, provocative articles and regular columns written by leaders in the field. A&WMA Online Store

The Online Store offers A&WMA members and nonmembers access to a wealth of technical environmental information. The Online Store includes books and CDs offered through the A&WMA Publications Catalog. The Store includes the following materials: Annual Conference material, Specialty Conference material, Technical Books and CD’s, and Logo Merchandise. Webinar participants may also be eligible for continuing education credit. A&WMA issues certificates of participation through our online attendee confirmation system. A&WMA Awards Program

These awards were created by the Association to encourage environmental professionals to serve as models for others to emulate and, in doing so, further the mission and objectives of the Association.

A&WMA Leadership Opportunities

A&WMA has numerous volunteer opportunities available to members. Members can serve on the Board of Directors or get involved in A&WMA’s various Councils such as Education, Technical, Section & Chapters and Publication.

Local Sections & Chapters

A&WMA international membership includes free membership to A&WMA’s local sections and chapters. The Association’s Sections and Chapters are local member units that provide members with environmental leadership, region-specific programming, and networking opportunities close to home. A&WMA has 32 Sections and 100 Chapters worldwide.

Membership Report

The WV Chapter membership committee has completed a comprehensive membership evaluation that compares and contrasts our membership population from 2017 to 2018 and includes distribution of membership by geography, profession, and gender. The goal of the report is to better understand where our membership is both strong and underserved. The report offers suggestions and recommendations to make our membership more robust and inclusive.
